The story behind the photo #2

You gotta love a timer on a camera haven't you? This picture came about after my best friend came up to visit me in Cambridge late last year. We decided to have a stroll round the city centre taking some pictures. Annoyingly my camera ran out of charge and I wasn't in the mood for using the 35mm.

So Nick carried on snapping shots here there and everywhere and I waltz around him whinging. Then all of a sudden Nick told me to stand on one of those little bollards and jump off it. This became turned out to be great fun and after a while of taking it in turns we decided to do a jump together and after many successful attempts this was one of the few we got spot on.

I love looking back at this shot its a right giggle and it shows my potential of being a ballet dancer.

The story behind the photo #1

I adore riding a motorbike, its my joy, my ecstasy my utopia. I've been riding motorbikes now for near on 3 years now and yes I know haven't taken my full test, but I love the fun in trying to make a small engined motorbike go fast. My record is 78mph on this bike.

Anyways back to the picture, this shot came from an idea me and my best friend Nick had a the previous night over a cup of tea and an M83 Album. Well i'd had this idea building up inside me for weeks now of taking some shots or us riding our motorbikes. Nick being Nick decided to pull out his notebook and pen and we started drawing of potential shots, one of my sketches looked like a teenage mutant hero turtle(i'm awful at drawing) but alas we soldiered on unravelling our creativity on to a piece of paper. The time we finished brainstorming it was pushing on for midnight and we thought it was a tad late to start anything now, so I put on my gear and pootled off back home with ideas flowing through my mind. The next morning/early afternoon (I'm prone to a good lie in on my days off) I packed up my camera and tripod and ventured of to the country lanes of North Hertfordshire where I encountered some love corners. I decided to set up the camera on several of these sexy corners and started to film myself bombing around the corner just to see what I looked like cornering. And above is the end result, That particular corner is located between Baldock and Weston. Sorry for the poor quality its a still from the footage.

Well... This is awkward.

The first post is always a little strange, isn't it? Well I keep it short just so we avoid talking about the weather and how much of bother it's been in recent weeks.
